Good partnerships, in business and in life, allow the whole to be better than each part individually. Each part contributes – often something the other part doesn’t have or do – and the whole becomes stronger.
In 2004, New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Orlando decided that, although they were providing their students with an excellent, hands-on, technical education in classrooms manned by top Microsoft instructors, they also needed to ensure their students an additional ‘leg up’ when it came to actually putting their new skills to work in a professional environment.
And so a partnership was born.
New Horizons partnered with Lisa Manzi, to utilize her 25 years of placement and recruiting experience, professional contacts, and to take some of the stress of finding a job away from their students. Lisa and Career Visions work diligently to assist New Horizons students obtain new resumes, develop and hone interviewing skills, and find job openings… then they do their best to get the students in front of hiring managers*.
The placement assistance provided by Career Visions is available to all students of New Horizons at no additional cost.
